Elephant Toothpaste


I found a video that told me how to make Elephant toothpaste. It said, 20% hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, food coloring, potassium iodide but we used 10% hydrogen peroxide, and
we dident have the potassium iodide so we used yeast this is how it turned out.

The experiment dident work it dident foam up like the video. Next time we will get 20% hydrogen peroxide, and we will get potassium iodide.

    Its great to see you are doing a science experiment. I hope your next try to make elephant toothpaste works for you. Well done in writing a conclusion at the end of your experiment.

    Hi Eartha, what fun making Elephant Toothpaste! I remember making that last year for the first time. It looked like the mixture did foam up, just not enough. I like the way you added the photos and the diagram. I don't remember using potassium iodide when we made it. I will try and find the recipe I used and email it to you.
