I wandered into Tāne Mahuta with a big smile on my face but looked around and saw no one there.
As I was putting my lunch box away and I realised that the air felt fresh. In the corner of my eye I saw a big green thing, my face started to shrivel, I turned around. It was my plant! It was trying to get outside the roof and the roof was getting lifted because of the plant. I was trying to find a teacher but there was no one in the classroom.
I ran to the door and I started tugging at it. It wouldn't budge. I started to feel scared and worried.
I slowly walked to the big bean plant. It was growing bigger and bigger. I started to get butterflies in my stomach. My cheeks felt like chillies. My feet couldn't stop wobbling.
I heard screaming from inside the plant. I saw a little glimpse of an eye. It was blue and filled with horror. The screaming got louder.
There were voices in my head telling me to do something. I gathered up all the stuff that would be useful to get them out. I got a drink bottle, scissors, pears, and a banana.
I got the drink bottle and threw the water all over the plant but it grew bigger as my face got weaker.
I tried the scissors but the plant root was too big, it felt like I was shrinking, I still hear the screaming of the terrified people.
The last things I had were the banana and the pears. I threw the pears and bananas at the same time.
I crossed my fingers and shut my eyes, all of a sudden I heard a BURP! The plant had eaten the fruit and was little again.
My face smiled in relief. I saw my friends and teachers again and we celebrated with a hug.
