The First Gymnastics Day
Today (Tuesday) we went to Gymnastics. We started off by taking our shoes off and socks. We waited at the front door and got told the instructions. We went inside and sat on the white line that created a rectangle. There were four stages. They split us up into groups and we got told to stand on this squishy ground. I thought we were going to do cartwheels to start off with, but instead we ran round in a circle. Then we skipped, high knees and jumped. I got picked to be the tester. I had to stand on this block and lay down while working with my hands to get to the red mat. There was also a block that you did a walk up handstand on, and a cartwheel block and a cartwheel mat. When we did all thoughs things twice we moved on to Tuck jumps. We held on to a bar and tried to get our knees over our waste. There were lots of things to do but my favorite was the foam pit. The foam pit trampoline was the bounces trampoline I have ever been on. It made me go so high. The guy that was showing us told us how to stop and the rules. It was really difficult to get out the foam pit. That was the last stage. I was so hot and sweaty as we got our shoes and socks on. When we were all out the door we sat down and did the roll to see if everyone was there. It was so fun to do gymnastics.
